The Rally Anxiety, anticipation, excitement, overwhelmed my mind. I couldn’t comprehend any idea that was thrown at me in class, I was just waiting for the clock, the clock to strike eleven. As the last specs of sand landed in my mental hourglass, I knew it was time. I scuffled to the office, backpack slung over my left shoulder, hands trembling with excitement while attempting to find my name in the millions of â€Å"Millers’† the school possesses. I head to my ancient SUV, a fresh, â€Å"Make America Great Again† sticker slapped on the bumper, adding a touch of white to the blue beast. I approach the house, I see my Father’s charcoal black SUV, sitting in the driveway, prepped and ready for departure. As we finally approach the gate we see a large white man, in a bulletproof vest with the words â€Å"TSA† he guides us through the metal detectors, stating the usual, â€Å"Put all personal item in your pocket in the plastic bin to your right, please.† He was like a robot, automated and precise. After passing through the initial metal detector, we then were presented to another man, this gentleman was very well built, with black sunglasses, a clear earpiece, a tactical vest with the word â€Å"Secret Service† velcroed on the front, and a large high-caliber assault rifle slung across his chest. The man, with no expression, said, â€Å"Spread your arms and legs, please.† I promptly do so with no hesitation, and was given the all clear, after being given a thorough pat-down.
